Message from Director

I cordially welcome you to the CGDTCE! Thank you for visiting us - I hope you keep doing it!-. I envisioned this center as a resource for faculty, staff and the general audience at UTD and abroad! Yet, I wanted for this center to be mainly student-oriented: a research and discussion forum resource for students interested in learning more about the ideas that have revolutionized our world during the past two centuries. Having being born and raised in a developing country (Mexico), I have been constantly interested in learning about what type of economic and legal institutions -and the principles and values that emerge from them- make societies prosperous or poor. I hope that by using your critical thinking skills you will find your own answers and that during your intellectual journey you helps us carrying out research that may shed light into some of the most important questions that for centuries, intellectuals have been thinking on.
